COMMUNITY ACTION ORGANIZATION OF WNY UNVEILS NEW LOGO
“New look reflects evolving mission and efforts to enhance our transparency
to community stakeholders”
Throughout its almost 60-year history, Community Action Organization of WNY has constantly evolved through the development of new programs and strategies to achieve its core mission in an ever-changing world.

As the strength and reach of its programs continue to reach new levels, the organization decided to refresh the way it presents itself to clients, staff and other community stakeholders.  After months of research, concept development, and drawing, CAO’s creative team developed a new look that imaginatively captures CAO’s “purpose, soul and impact”.

“We are proud to unveil the Community Action Organization of WNY’s new logo and want to recognize the talent within our organization that produced the new image and of CAO of WNY itself, which inspired the creative team by helping thousands of individuals and families achieve better lives,” said Thomas U. Kim, President and CEO, CAO of WNY, Inc. “Our new logo elegantly reflects the essence of who CAO of WNY is, what we do, and the internal systems enhancement we made over the past year and a half, including leveraging technology to modernize and improve our infrastructure. The new logo is a celebration of the changes we have made, our commitment to the core of our mission, and charting a path for the future to ensure the CAO of WNY will continue to be there to serve our community.”
Developing a new logo can be a rewarding challenge, especially when the message revolves around such life-sustaining elements as hope, empowerment, community and family,” Kim continued.  “An effective logo conveys the essential mission, goals and vision of an organization with few or no words and in finding images that manifest these concepts for CAO of WNY’s new logo, our team sought inspiration from different times, places and cultures, including from a 19th century drawing that represented a human hand as a bird. Our goal was to develop a modern feel, while continuing to respect the roots from where we came.”
